“…be the one to find the gold.” Proverbs 11:27; Acrylic and Plaster Fabric on Canvas; 25" x 21"
Artist Statement: Proverbs 11:27 " Anyone can find the dirt in someone, be the one that finds the gold". 325Using texture and one color allows the texture, contours and shadows to become the main feature, focus and experience. Not sure why I decided to paint it gold, but in the end the gold gave it true meaning. The plaster fabric piece in the center “pouring out” of the format and the frame gives it additional dimension.  Once I found the proverb, it seemed perfect to add the two “gold” nuggets. Additionally, the “gold nuggets” of the scripture were metaphorical. Hope you find gold in your life.
