About the Work: The nude is a classic subject for artists for its form and grace. I chose to use neutral colors so that skin color is not the focus; rather the form. Using the loose lines of the figures seemed to allow them to breath and move about. As I painted this piece, the figures created a conversation and symbolism emerged with the mirror-like shape. Are they the same people? Are they reflecting themselves? Or, are they reflecting onto others? Hopefully you will allow your eyes and mind to wander throughout the canvas to gather impressions that bring you joy.
