Sterling Silver Cigarette Holder mounted onto Acrylic and Multimedia on Wooden Surface; 11.5" x 11.5" Artist Statement: “Cherie in Classic Pose” was inspired by the one-of-a kind, hand cast Sterling Silver Cigarette Holder, created by me, Deborah Lightfield. Notice that the Art Nouveau face is in profile, thus, this woman needed to be painted in profile with a “classic” look and attitude. Of course, many people no longer smoke cigarettes, so, why not be creative with other things that can be carried around at a social gathering? Or, have fun with interchanging the items within the framed artwork. One of my favorite items is the Cherry Flavored Lollipop which inspired the title and adds to the seductive and fun mood of the artwork.
